Liu Jiamei, M.D., Professor and Chair of the Department of Histology &Embryology, College of Basic MedicalSciences,Jilin University.

Liu Jiamei obtained her bachelor’s degree in 1994 from Norman Bethune Medical University. She then pursued her doctorate in pathology, which she completed in 2004. In 2008, she went to the USA and worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the School of Medicine of Yale University. Dr. Liu’s significant achievements include her promotion to the position of Professor in 2010 and her appointment as the Chair of Histology and Embryology at the College of Basic Medical Sciences of Jilin University in 2013.

Dr. Liu’s research primarily focuses on nervous system injury repair and the proliferation and differentiation of stem cells. She actively contributes to the field as a standing council member of the Chinese Society for Anatomical Sciences (CSAS) and as the Vice President of the Jilin Provincial Society for Anatomical Sciences. Additionally, Dr. Liu leads the national first-class course on Histology & Embryology.
